I posted this video because it brought back many memories. I used to be a Folklorico dancer. I began when I was 5 and continued until I was 16 years old. I actually know this dance and have the same costume.
That was a cool dance. The guys needed to be more aggressive with their footwork though. I liked the two female dancers in the middle. Were they holding onto the yellow reboso? Must have been tiring. Looks like a looottt of work.
I am a 5th grade Bilingual teacher at an elementary school in the SAISD school district. I am a 1991 high school graduate. I received my undergraduate degree at SWT in 2002 and currently taking graduate courses at UTSA.
